Description No CPServer in tray on host and Program Not Authorized 88.
Symptoms User could not access CAR_PRO and was receiving a Program Not Authorized 88 message. Also the Butler (CPServer) was not showing in the tray but it was running in Task manager. Each time the user tried to start application it would fire up a new instance of CPServer. We uninstalled CAR_PRO and after a re-boot the system still had a CAR_PRO folder that could not be deleted. The operating system was Windows 2000.
Cause After much investigation we discovered that the permission on the CAR_PRO folder were set in such a way that it prevented the deletion of the folder and there were also locks on some of the file in the application folder such as CPServer.exe
Solution Reset the folder permissions by right clicking on the CAR_PRO folder and choosing Properties then Security. Make sure that permissions are set to Full Access for Everyone. Then delete the folder and reinstall the application.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COMPLETE BACKUP OF ALL DATA BEFORE DELETING FOLDER.
