CAR_PRO Version 2005.005

Program Not Authorized [7]

Program Not Authorized [7] on single user machine. User had been using CAR_PRO without a problem for 10 years and then all of the sudden he got this error. Also the user was running version 2002.004 and after updating to 200.005 the problem still persisted.

The problem was eventually tracked to the Windows Registry. The cause is still unknown but we suspect it had to do with a coruption in the reg key.

Have the end user stop service on CPServer.exe (the butler) and delete both the "carpro" and "cpserver" registry keys. Then try to load the application. User will most likely get a program not autjorized [2] message but then you can "Destroy" the license and then obtain a new one.
