Description |
Cannot load program on client PC.
|
Symptoms |
Cannot load program on client PC. Actually if left alone long enough it will load but it take forever. This same customer actually had another client that loaded properly.
|
Cause |
Somehow this client PC had copies of carpro.mdb and carpro1.mdb files in it's application directory. This causes that machine to think it is actually the host. When the host enters the program it will create any new database fields that may be required to support its version. If a client thinks its the host it will try to creat those fields and get hung up in a loop.
|
Solution |
Delete any copies of the files carpro.mdb and carpro1.mdb fro the client app folder. As a precaution, we strongly reccomend that backups of these files are made before deleting them.
