Running CAR_PRO Update kills license.

Running a CAR_PRO Update kills the active license.

This problem is caused when the update is run without first closing CPServer. It will only effect users with program version 2000.04 and higher. The actual cause is due to updates that require that the CPServer executable is replaced. In this case if CPServer is left running then Windows will require a reboot to replace the file and this whole process is what kills the license. CPServer is a small application that handles licensing for the application.

Try to remember to shut down CPServer before updating CAR_PRO. To close CPServer, locate the little butler icon which can be found in your system tray near your clock on your task bar. Click on it with your right mouse button and choose "Stop Service". Note if you are running CAR_PRO over a network, you will not find CPServer on Client machines. In the event that the license is destroyed, simply contact us to obtain a new license.
