QB Article
A client called today and needed me to make a change to his Application. To My great dismay My App
(well you probably guessed it) [Could not start quickbooks] . I always get a feeling of dread when having to deal with this interface because since most of my clients went to Vista , I feel Like I am spinning a roulette wheel and my odds of quickly making a connection and getting to my actual goal of changing some business logic is rather dreary. I Had made this leap successfully a few months ago by following the advise of another Member [temp32]
1: Turn UAC ON
2: Uncheck [Run as Administrator] from Visual Studio
I found that I could NOT connect while in DEBUG mode: This angered me . .
I did Successfully Connect when I compiled my app and Ran it outside of the Visual studio environment
Well Today I can Unhappily report that None of this is working :
Not wanting to be told to Uninstall / Reinstall anything : I did just that : I removed the SDK then Reinstalled It :
Now at this point I should be able to RUN a Sample app such as CustomerAdd Right? : NO
No, I can't even get the Sample App to Connect to QuickBooks Right out of the BOX . .
I have been using the sdk for years but now I can't EVEN Connect . .
Any Suggestions . . Losing patience and perhaps Clients . . .
