Description "Program Not Authorized! [88]" message.
Symptoms When trying to access CAR_PRO the user gets the message "Program Not Authorized! [88]". This potential problem can only occur in versions higher then 2000.03 because it has to do with the newer CPServer licensing technology.
Cause This problem is most likely due to a corruption in the licensing database, but it may also be due to some missing support files.
Solution The object to solving this problem is to get the application to change the message of "Program Not Authorized! [88]" to "Program Not Authorized! [3]" and the re-issue the license. Try the following solutions in order until the problem is solved... 1) Exit any CAR_PRO screens that may be running. 2) Right click on the CPServer icon, located in the System Tray near the clock, and choose "License Repair". Then click "Ok" to the following dialog. 3) Restart CAR_PRO. If the above method does not work then try the following: 1) Shut down CPServer and Delete "DLC.MDB" from the application path, then restart CPServer. 2) Re-start CAR_PRO and see if you now get a "Program Not Authorized! [3]" message. If you do, then re-issue a license. If none of the above works then try the following: 1) Shut down CPServer and Delete "DLC.MDB" from the application path, then restart CPServer. 2) Browse the the application folder and see if you can locate "DLC.MDB". CPServer should automatically recreate this database automatically and if it fails then there is a good chance the some of the CAR_PRO support file are missing or corrupt. 3) Have the end user do a full re-install to fix the problem.
