Cannot add a new deal on the Deal Records screen.

Cannot add a new deal on the Deal Records screen. When the user clicks the "Add New" button the system uses up the next deal number however when the user gets to the Deal Editor screen the program pulls up an existing deal instead of creating the new one.

This problem is generally caused when a database is missing a field. With new program updates newly required database fields should be created automatically. When this procedure fails it can cause various problems. Also note that the problem has also been caused when the program does not fully recognize the active company.

This problem can be solved by Verifying the database from the Technical Tools screen. If for some reason that doesn't correct the problem then you need to evaluate the "Fserror.log" to see if the Verification process failed. If the above procedure does not resolve the issue then go to System Data and switch off and then back on to the active company. This also has resolved the problem.
