Unable to connect to remote server! Please make sure you have an active Internet connection and try again!

Symptoms |
User receives the following message when trying to obtain a license over the internet...
"Unable to connect to remote server! Please make sure you have an active Internet connection and try again!". The same message pops up when trying any feature that uses our web server.

Cause |
We determined that the problem was caused when the end user has the "&" character in their user account name (ex: MC ZEES CAR & TRUCK FACTORY).

Solution |
Have the end user remove the "&" character from the account name and also change it on the server if the account already exists.
