CAR_PRO Any Version

Suddenly cannot print any reports or print forms.

After using CAR_PRO for several months or more with out any problems, the end user suddenly can no longer print any forms or reports. The program responds like it is going to print but never does. Eventually the end user may get an error message - "20520 - Job Already Started".

This problem is due to a trapped parameter field. Some Crystal Reports may use parameter dialogs when additional user input is required. If the user clicks anywhere on the screen around one of these parameters it can actually go behind the application where it can no longer be seen. Even though the dialog is invisible to the user it is still expecting an entry which causes the problem.

Usually you can just minimize CAR_PRO and respond to the parameter to fix the problem. If that doesn't work then exit the application completely and purge all the print jobs in the queue for the default printer. Now reboot the PC and everything will be back to normal.
